On August 6, 2022 at around 5:00PM Central African Time, we wrapped Camp NexGen™ Zimbabwe. Huddled around the registration tables we’d set up just 10 hours prior, we raised our cups to toast the end of a camp well done. Feelings of excitement and uncertainty at the start of camp, morphed into deep appreciation and admiration of the campers, volunteers, partners, and, the assignment. We all basked in the profundity of what we were able to accomplish over the 3-days for the local children, all while still processing the deep effects the experience had on ourselves. Read MoreOver three days (August 4–6, 2022), we welcomed 150 kids aged 11 to 15 from the Snake Park, Mabvuku, and Hatcliffe communities of Harare, Zimbabwe to take part in Camp NexGen™ — the ultimate SPORT x STEAM experience. Powered by the support and partnership of Global Air Drone Academy, Miracle Missions, ACES Academy, and Eaglesvale School, all 150 campers were able to take part in athletic training (soccer/football, netball, & cricket), and learn how to build and fly drones!

Read MoreIn December 2019, LGRRG teamed up with Gear ‘Em Up and Global Air Drone Academy for a 2-day SPORT x STEM Camp in Lagos, Nigeria. Together we hosted 50 targeted adolescent boys and girls, to engage in sports development, self-empowerment sessions, and a drone building and racing activity. We hope to expose the campers to the joy and opportunity that athletics and STEM subjects bring. The participating campers are from neighboring towns and villages of Lagos, Nigeria.
