Identifying two campers from our Zimbabwe cohort in this new initiative, LGRRG has sponsored Lean and Leon to go through 18-months of drone-specific training in partnership with Zimbabwe Flying Labs. Once training is complete, they will be licensed drone pilots with a sub-specialty of their choosing, and have the ability to launch their own drone companies, or serve as contracted drone pilots / instructors in Zimbabwe and across the globe!

Huddled around the registration tables we’d set up just 10 hours prior, we raised our cups to toast the end of a camp well done. Feelings of excitement and uncertainty at the start of camp, morphed into deep appreciation and admiration of the campers, volunteers, partners, and, the assignment. We all basked in the profundity of what we were able to accomplish over the 3-days for the local children, all while still processing the deep effects the experience had on ourselves.
